The Ella Bag

Since Ella started Cubbies this year she needed a new bag!  We made this together.  She helped pick out the fabric (thanks for Meg's great stash!) and we bought the iron-on letters from JoAnn Fabric.  It's a small messenger bag style and it's just perfect for Ella!

Oh my goodness that is so adorable!!! I love the bag and her little French braids are sooo cute! It reminds me of myself as a child. My Mom ALWAYS French braided my hair!

Did you make the bad "freestyle" or did you have a pattern? Honestly, I'm so amazed at your adorable creations!

That's great that she started Cubbies! Ron and I taught the Cubbies at our church in FL for two years and was it fun! I am just amazed at how kids that young can learn so much! I think it also helps prepare us for raising kids too! Hope she's enjoying it!

janelle-
thanks. the pattern is laying the cubbies book on top of a piece of fabric and cutting around it (leaving an 1 1/2" on all sides for seam allowance and a little extra room).

i can see you with little french braids!

yah- cubbies is so fun!

Silly me! I never thought about using the book as a pattern. I think it turned out great! Hopefully someday maybe I can make Aaron or Megan a little Awana bag! =)
