Tea towels

I'm thinking about doing a tutorial on making rag quilts. Does anyone care about that or would that be a waste of my time? I'd love your feedback. I haven't done much sewing lately, I've been busy addressing wedding invitations for Mark and Amy.

A few months ago I bought several yards of vintage fabric at a thrift store. It was only a couple of dollars. It was a great find! I love the colors and the fabric is perfect for tea towels. I finally got around to making a few. I'm going to sell them at the Calico Barn this next season. I have enough fabric to make several cute sets of towels and napkins. I may even make a few aprons. I really like how they turned out and they are perfect in my kitchen! uh, oh. I hope they make it to my inventory list!

Please post a tutorial. I would like to make one at some point - I think I could figure it out, but I have a question or two that I'm sure you could answer! Check out this... nestingplacenc.blogspot.com

I would love to learn how to make these quilts as I have told you before. I looked everywhere for a pattern like yours and there are none. Look forward to seeing how you do it!!

Yep, yep, yep!

A tutorial would be very helpful. :-)

I actually took a sewing class with some ladies from our church. It was fun, and I just finished a small pillow with a zipper --all on my own! :-)

I am about ready to tackle a rag quilt next!

Hmmm . . . maybe for the sake of your reader's sanity, you could start with something small, say , your Christmas table runner? I'm thinking if I started one now, it might be ready by Christmas! :-)

erin- oh- good idea about starting small, but i think the concept is sooo easy that doing a quilt would be just as simple as a runner. i actually took pictures of the whole process on the last quilt and i was thinking about posting those, but you could apply the process to any project. i just have to make some time to put this post together. it might take a while
